Administration:

We endeavor to keep all administration fees as low as possible, to do that, we try to raise extra money to help with our overall budget. One of the areas that you can make a vital difference in, is by contributing to administrative costs of our Canadian office.

Boys:

- The boys used to sleep on the cement floor, with NOT EVEN A MATTRESS when Brian became the Director of HOH India.  Now, thanks to sponsors, the older boys have these very sturdy beds with comfortable mattresses. Now, we just need more finances to build more beds for the younger boys.  One bunk bed with three levels including the mattresses is only $260.

Vehicles:

- We desperately need a vehicle that can help take the boys to the hospital, get supplies, help with teams - $10,000 CAD for a 2 year old vehicle (very good deal)

- The Boys Home of Hope has used the same "Auto-Rickshaw" for 20 years!  It is old and doesn’t qualify for insurance.  It has recently broken down and requires $600CAD to be fixed.  Or, a brand new rickshaw only costs $3,700 CAD.
This is used daily for errands and supplies and taking children to the doctor for check-ups and more.

- A large van for teams will save a lot of money as taxi's are very expensive and HOH is 1.5 hours from the airport.  The vehicle would be a blessing to the Home, as well as to transport kids to school in monsoon season, to special events, as well as picking up large items and supplies.

Office Operations:

- Another computer is needed, as we are teaching all staff how to use the computer and communicate with Canada. approx $600 CAD.  Laptops are great donations that can be taken over with teams.

Church Equipment:

- Upgrades are needed for the sound system.  Estimated cost - $1500CAD
- 50 chairs are needed.  Everyone presently sits on the floor during services.

New Area:

- A Motorbike/Scooter is needed for the leader to travel to this new area.

- Outreach - a video projector and screen would be great for showing teaching videos, English teaching DVDs, and showing the "Passion of the Christ" film to share the gospel in surrounding villages.  Estimated cost - $1400CAD.

Staff:

- A full-time English teacher is needed to teach the staff, their children, and the boys. This is very important for communication with all team members and future job opportunities.  Estimated cost - $200CAD/month

Miscellaneous:

- New kitchen utensils, appliances, and renovations - Estimated cost - $500 CAD

- English lessons are being taught to all the boys and staff.  Need: Library shelving = $140 CAD

- During the February 2010 team, a Canadian trained 4 boys and a staff member how to paint.  Need: Painting supplies = $650 CAD/year
